“Generational Families of Artists” series – an exhibition of the Grabowski family.
The exhibition will run from 4 September to 19 September at our K&K Art Gallery at 9 Białostocka Street in Warsaw.
Visitors could admire works by artists from three generations: the eldest, Antoni Grabowski (born in 1937; a sculptor; repeatedly honored for outstanding artistic, teaching and educational achievements; he creates by observing and interpreting nature, transforming it into the language of sculpture—by “the language of sculpture” he means a new formal reality); Antoni Grabowski (born in 1967; also a sculptor; since 2003, he has run the Sculpture and Drawing Studio at the Faculty of Interior Architecture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw—currently as a university professor); and the youngest artist on display, Jan Grabowski (born in 1994; an artist working in a variety of styles, media and genres; a screenwriter, director and producer of independent short films, both fiction and documentary). Three individual worlds of creative experience will meet in our Gallery, connected by a certain thread of understanding as they continue their creative/family dialogue with one another. The exhibition opening took place on 4 September at 7:00 p.m.
The exhibition is part of a project by the Otwarta Pracownia Twórcza Foundation, co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
