The Generational Families of Artists project, organized at K&K Art Gallery by the Otwarta Pracownia Twórcza Foundation in 2022 and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, is still underway. We therefore invite you to the third exhibition in this family series, featuring the Cukier family. We begin with the head of the family, Stanisław Cukier, an outstanding sculptor, longtime educator and, for several years, president of the Zakopane branch of the Association of Polish Visual Artists. Born in Zakopane in 1954, he continues to pursue his artistic practice there to this day. Alongside Stanisław’s works, we will also present sculptures by Teresa and Maria Cukier. Teresa, born in Zakopane in 1990, creates works in the unconventional medium of glass. She takes part in exhibitions and numerous projects in Poland and abroad, and lives and works in Koblenz. Maria Cukier (born in Warsaw in 1986) works mainly in wood and has an international artistic practice. She has participated in dozens of international sculpture plein-air events and symposia across Europe. For several years, she has also run a woodworking workshop for people with intellectual disabilities at PSONI in Zakopane. The exhibition will also feature paintings by Paweł Cukier, a trained stage designer born in Zakopane in 1988 who currently lives in the Dutch municipality of Zaanstad, as well as nature photography by the youngest of the featured artists, Stanisław. Born in 1997, he is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Biology at the School of Molecular Biology and Biological Chemistry at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Our K&K Art Gallery will thus host a wide variety of works spanning numerous fields of both art and science. The exhibition runs from 5 to 16 December 2022.
