On February 14, 2021, everyone young and blinded by love, as well as those older and blinded by marketing, will rush to shops, florists and confectioners to show their dearest other halves, in the most spectacular way possible, just how much they love them. Many such couples will probably sit down to a candlelit dinner that evening—ending it, no doubt, with a sweet dessert and an even sweeter night.
At K&K Art Gallery, we have decided to strip this “celebration of love” of the consumerist trappings that advertising tricks and social media have given it. Together with our artist friends, K&K Art Gallery warmly invites you to the group exhibition EROTIKA.
The main aim of this exhibition is to show love as alive, naked and real. Love experienced by real bodies and souls.
In the world of modern man, it is increasingly difficult to find genuine feelings; everyday life is filled with unrealistic visions of what love should look like and how it should be expressed.
By organizing the Erotika exhibition, we want to give visitors a chance to reflect and remember that no one but themselves defines what love, attachment, intimacy and eroticism mean to them.
Art stirs our most deeply hidden emotions and desires.
Using a variety of materials, artists shape reflections of their own sensibilities and experiences, hoping that the work they create will become a tool through which viewers can look deep within themselves and find inspiration for their fantasies.
Perhaps, then, this will be an opportunity to get to know your loved one better? And to give them a work of art.
The exhibition will feature forms as varied as love itself—everyone is sure to find something for themselves and their loved one.
The exhibition opening will take place on February 14 at 7:00 p.m. at K&K Art Gallery; the exhibition will run until February 28, 2021.
