It is hard to mistake this sound for that of any other instrument – its distinctive glissando, almost ethereal tone, at times plaintive – this is the voice of the musical saw.On August 20, 2020, you’ll once again be able to hear these amazing and enchanting sounds at the K&K Art Gallery – that’s when the exceptionally talented Jolanta Kula will perform for us, accompanied by Michał Pijewski. Jolanta Kula is a graduate of the F. Chopin State Music School in Warsaw, a vocalist who has won awards at numerous festivals and competitions. Her work includes an original programme of songs with her own lyrics, arranged in collaboration with other musicians. Michał Pijewski is a pianist and trumpeter, and a graduate of the Elsner State Music School in Warsaw. He has played in various groups, including the Old Traditional Jazz Band, and since 1998 has led his own band, The Castle Band, later renamed The Crazy Band, where he played for many years alongside Jola, performing pop, dance and jazz music. Together, these two highly talented artists have created a musical project of their own, which you’ll have the chance to discover surrounded by works of art in our K&K Art Gallery.
