At the K&K Art Gallery, the Otwarta Pracownia Twórcza Foundation is carrying out the project “Generational Families of Artists”, supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. As part of the project, a series of exhibitions is being held to showcase the artistic achievements of several generations of creative families. The series was inspired by the phenomenon of entire artistic clans, in which a passion for creating is passed down from generation to generation. This time, we invite you to the final exhibition in the series, devoted to the Krzysztof family. The family, founded by Anna and Bronisław Krzysztof, is united by a love of life and the power of creation. Sculpture is not the only form of artistic expression practised by the family patriarch, although it is certainly the dominant one. Uninterrupted work, recurring cycles, expressive power, working against the grain, sensitivity to form and pushing beyond limitations define his artistic practice. Bronisław’s sculptures, projects, medals, small-scale works and public-space installations are documented both photographically and in writing by Anna, who draws on her experience as a conservator. Their son, Dr Krzysztof Krzysztof, is a sculptor, painter and performance artist, as well as a scientist and athlete, with achievements in the world of film, too. Their daughter, Anna Papucis, a graduate of the University of the Arts London, has worked with world-class design companies such as Cox London and Soane Britain, where she worked with metal and casting as a craftsperson and studio manager. Petro Papucis, Anna’s husband, actively collaborates with Bronisław and Anna on design and IT, helping develop Bronisław Krzysztof’s brand. As a graphic designer, he creates brands, products, advertising campaigns, videos and animations for clients around the world. Their younger daughter, Julia Dudek, has a range of experience, artistic skills and an education from the Academy of Fine Arts and Studio Dziewulski in Warsaw. The remarkable work of five family members will be on display at our K&K Art Gallery from 20 to 31 December. The opening will take place on 20 December at 7:00 p.m. We warmly invite you!
