KRZYSZTOFY - Generations of Artists' Families

 

The Otwarta Pracownia Twórcza Foundation is implementing the project ''Generational Families of Artists'' in 2022, subsidised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, which includes a series of exhibitions showcasing the artistic achievements of representatives of several generations of artists' families. The inspiration for this series was the observed phenomenon of entire artistic clans, where the passion for creation is passed on from generation to generation. This time, we would like to invite you to the last exhibition in the series - the exhibition of the Krzysztof family. The leitmotif of the family created by Anna and Bronislaw Krzysztof is the joy of life and the power of creation. Sculpture is not the only form of artistic expression, though certainly the dominant one, of the head of the family. Uninterrupted work, recurring cycles, the power of expression, working against and despite, sensitivity to form, and transgressing limitations characterise his artistic activities. Bronislaw's sculpture realisations, projects, medals, small forms, and actions in public space are documented by Anna in both photographic and descriptive form, drawing on her conservationist experience. Son, Dr. Krzysztof Krzysztof, sculptor, painter, and performer as well as scientist and sportsman, with achievements also in the world of film. Daughter, Anna Papucis, a graduate of the London University of the Arts, worked with world-class design companies such as Cox London and Soane Britain, where she was involved in metalwork and casting as a craftsman and studio manager. Petro Papucis - Anna's husband - actively collaborates with Bronislaw and Anna in the field of design and IT, developing Bronislaw Christopher's brand (as a graphic designer, he creates brands, products, advertising campaigns, videos, and animations for clients around the world). The younger daughter, Julia Dudek, has diverse experience, artistic skills, and education from the Academy of Fine Arts and Studio Dziewulski in Warsaw. The extraordinary work of the five will be on display at our K&K Art Gallery between 20 and 31 December; the vernissage will take place on 20.12 at 19:00.
