9 Auction - Light That Warms - The Birth of Closeness

The March art auction proposes a particularly tender and symbolic theme, inspiring artists to explore fragile moments of emotional opening—light as a symbol of trust, from which a relationship begins.

At the threshold between winter and the approaching spring, when the landscape and everyday life are devoid of intense colours, light is not merely a formal category, but becomes a metaphor for attention, care and openness.

Artists use it as a subtle tool for creating mood: soft, diffused and often unobtrusive, it brings fragments of reality and emotion out of the darkness. The shadow does not disappear—it remains an integral part of the composition—but loses its weight, becoming a backdrop for what is only just emerging. It is in this liminal space between brightness and half-light that closeness is born.

In many of the works presented, light touches the body—not literally, but through gesture, contour and reflection. The body appears as a delicate presence, at times barely suggested, immersed in an atmosphere of silence and contemplation.
