Painting exhibition by two outstanding Kraków artists. Marek Paluch “While working in the realm of creative activity, the transformation of spatial forms and their mutual relationships within the reality contained in the object—the work of art—is essential. It is an endless journey that need not lead to a complete definition or description; the process of searching is valuable in itself. Recording the dependencies and mutual interactions built within the space of an artwork is not intended to depict an existing reality, but to create a new value, a new reality describing the order of matter as well as immaterial beings. The relationships between enclosed space, confined by geometric form, and open space, which complements it while also forming an adjacent area, build a particular reality of the painting. The reality of forms is defined as an independent, not fully specified entity. The painting does not formulate a clear-cut message, but instead constructs dilemmas that are never truly resolved, inspiring repeated returns to the subject and new challenges.”
Czet Minkus “The thematic source materials and inspirations were observations and records of inner experiences and reflections, as well as explorations of various aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic unfolding around the world in 2020 and its effects—for example, mental energy, the dynamics of change, inner rhythms, social relations, history, the audiosphere, visual sequences at micro and macro scales, and the interplay of exceptional emotional experiences, among other things. The cycle was created within the Formula, an area I have been exploring for a long time—or rather, at the POINT where two Areas intersect: MIND-CONSTRUCTION and the SPIRIT OF ALEATORICISM.”
