In 2022, the Otwarta Pracownia Twórcza Foundation is carrying out a project (activities of the K&K Art Gallery): Plus Ultra—Exhibitions of the Masters of Sculpture, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. We warmly invite you to the opening exhibition of the Plus Ultra project, Masters of Sculpture. The exhibition opens on August 4, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. and runs until August 18. Plus Ultra is a travelling cultural programme presenting works by artists from Poland, making them accessible to audiences beyond the places where they were created. The first exhibition in the series, “Masters of Sculpture,” will feature works by artists who could be called the pillars of contemporary Polish sculpture. The exhibition will offer a cross-section of the work of these older generations of sculptors, showing the principal directions pursued by individual artists and the styles they practice in sculpture. The event aims to remind audiences of artists not often encountered in Polish contemporary galleries, who have made a significant contribution to the current state of Polish sculpture. Artists presented will include Jan Kucz, Barbara Zbrożyna, Stanisław Cukier, Teresa Plata, Władysław Hasior, Stanisław Słonina, Wiesław Fijałkowski, Antoni Rząsa and Stanisław Kulon.
