The experimental THEATRE OF SOUND AND COLOR, active since 2013, presents a close integration and mutual inspiration between improvised music and painting. The project is co-created by musician and artist Iwona Jędruch and visual artist Anna Carpenter. During the exhibition, the latest iteration of the project will take place—a happening/concert for violin, gongs, singing bowls, percussion instruments and idiophones, accompanied by a screening of Anna Carpenter’s film ENERGY OF COLOR. The concept for the film arose during an exhibition of her paintings at the Historic Ironworks in Maleńec. It is also worth noting that the artist treats photography and film presentations as distinct, autonomous forms of artistic expression.
