ZOFIA KUBICKA

Zofia Kubicka She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is a student of Prof. Gustav Zemla and Prof. Jan Kucz. She has chosen imagery in sculpture through figurativeness and understatement of a sculptural form as the guiding idea of her work. She is a sculptor, performer educator, and creator of the projects Night Shtika Zone, Chromosomes of Art, Po-maili - performative actions 2012. Her sculptures are a daily journal describing most often the feminine aspect, delicate and ephemeral. She encapsulates the primal energy of Femina in her sculptures, which we find in them, not only sensitivity but also extraordinary layers of subtlety and even lyricism. She has a rare ability to capture the archetypes of femininity through the prism of everyday life. It happens that the viewer, in the lifeless forms of the female body created by the artist, finds himself The artist's cultural background is a collection of many cultures from which she draws artifacts and whose mystique can be seen in everything she creates. The sculptor is deeply inspired by the meaning-rich Slavic culture and its non-obvious relationship between man and nature.

 Her works are mostly in private collections scattered around the world (Poland, Spain, USA, Italy, England).
