WIESŁAW KWAK

WIESLAW KWAK'S SCULPTURES ARE THE RESULT OF THE CREATIVE PENETRATION OF FORM AND LINE. THE MAIN THEME IS MAN WITH HIS SCALE OF SENSATIONS AND EMOTIONS.  ON THE ONE HAND, HE PLAYS WITH THE EXPRESSION OF THE SOLID IN HIS SCULPTURES CAST IN BRONZE, AND ON THE OTHER HAND, SCULPTING IN BLACK OAK MARKS THE SIMPLICITY OF THE SOLID WITH A LINE IN SPACE.

From 1983 to 1988 he studied at the Department of Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts (ASP) in Gdansk. He received his diploma with honors in the studio of Prof. Franciszek Duszeńka in 1988.
W latach 1989- 1990 odbył staż w pracowni rzeźby prof. Jean Cardot w Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts w Paryżu.

 He works in sculpture, painting, drawing and printmaking.

He often creates sculptural series such as "Metamorphoses"; "Balance"; "Artmaster."
